🎉 Major Features

New Command Mode Tools

We've added 5 powerful new utilities to Command Mode, all accessible through voice commands:

Image Compression

  • Compress Images: Reduce file size while maintaining quality

  • Supports JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, HEIC formats

  • Creates compressed files with _compressed suffix

  • Try saying: "compress this image" or "reduce quality to 70%"

Color Palette Extractor

  • Extract Color Palette: Capture and display dominant colors from your screen

  • Shows colors in HEX, RGB, and HSL formats

  • Click any color to copy it to clipboard

  • Try saying: "extract color palette" or "get colors from screen"

Timer Functionality

  • Set Timer: Create countdown timers with voice commands

  • Timer displays in system tray with time remaining

  • Get notifications when timer completes

  • Try saying: "set a timer for 10 minutes" or "set timer for 5 minutes"

Translation Tool

  • Translate Text: Translate selected text to any language

  • Supports all major languages

  • Try saying: "translate this to Spanish" or "translate to French"

Editor Integration

  • Open in Editor: Open selected files or folders in your preferred code editor

  • Supported editors: VS Code, Cursor, Sublime Text, Atom, WebStorm, PhpStorm, IntelliJ, PyCharm

  • Try saying: "open in cursor" or "open this in VS Code"

Deep Link Support

  • Added deep link handling for URL-based integrations

  • Enables opening Vowen with specific commands or actions from external apps

  • Protocol: vowen://

  • Scroll Indicator: Fixed scroll indicator behavior in recording view

Keyboard & Hotkeys

  • Meta Key Differentiation: Now differentiates between left and right Command/Meta keys

  • Scroll Behavior: Fixed scrolling indicator in transcription view

📝 How to Use New Features

  1. Hold down your Command Mode shortcut key (default: Option + Shift)

  2. Say your command:

    • "Compress this image" (with file selected)

    • "Extract color palette"

    • "Set a timer for 10 minutes"

    • "Translate this to French" (with text selected)

    • "Open in cursor" (with file/folder selected)

  3. Watch Vowen work its magic! ✨
