Copy Last Transcription

Quick access to your most recent transcription! We've added a convenient menu option to copy your last transcription directly to your clipboard.

How to use:

• Simply click the Vowen menu and select "Copy Last Transcription"

• Perfect for when you need to access your previous transcription again

• No need to open the history window for quick re-use

Clipboard Restoration Control

You're now in full control of your clipboard behavior. This new setting lets you choose whether to restore your original clipboard content after transcription is pasted.

How it works:

1. Go to Settings → General

2. Find the "Restore clipboard after paste" option

3. Toggle it based on your preference:

   • Enabled (default): Your original clipboard is automatically restored after transcription

   • Disabled: The transcription remains on your clipboard

This gives you the flexibility to choose the workflow that works best for you.

Shortcut Conflict Prevention

Vowen now prevents you from assigning the same keyboard shortcut to multiple actions.

What you'll experience:

• When setting a shortcut, Vowen checks if it's already in use

• Clear warning message if you try to use a duplicate shortcut

• Guides you to choose a different, unique key combination

• Ensures every action has its own distinct shortcut

Multilingual Command Mode

Command mode is now truly global! Command mode now works seamlessly with all supported languages, not just English.

Threads support now works seamlessly with all cloud transcription providers.

We've added support for AssemblyAI Universal-2, one of the most accurate transcription models available today. AssemblyAI offers industry-leading speech recognition with excellent handling of accents, technical terminology, and challenging audio conditions.

To get started:

1. Get your API key from AssemblyAI

2. Navigate to Settings → Models → Cloud

3. Select "AssemblyAI Universal-2" and enter your API key

Google Gemini Flash Latest

Clipboard Protection

Vowen now automatically preserves your previous clipboard content and restores it after transcription completes. No more losing that important snippet you had copied before starting a recording.

How it works:

1. Copy something important

2. Use Vowen to transcribe

3. Your transcription gets copied to clipboard (as before)

4. After processing, your original clipboard content is automatically restored

Network Error Handling

Vowen now displays clear, actionable error messages when network connectivity issues occur during cloud transcription. You'll know immediately if you need to check your connection, helping you troubleshoot faster.

Expanded Language Support

We've added additional languages to the language selection menu, including better organization and visibility for European languages. Dutch and other languages are now easier to find in the Settings → Language section.

Windows Tray Improvement

Windows users: Clicking the Vowen tray icon now opens the main application window, making it much easier to access your transcriptions and settings. No more hunting through menus!
