Ability to copy Notes transcript

Feature Request

I can copy the summary easily, but often it would be useful for me to be able to copy the whole transcript, but the UI only lets you select one fragment at a time.

It would be nice to either be able to use the mouse to select the entire transcript or have separate buttons to copy transcript and copy summary.

    Hey @Adrian Pauly you can copy the whole transcript by navigating to the transcript section from a particular note, and then you click on this button to copy the transcript.

      Oh that’s great! Apologies for filing a ticket for something that’s actually implemented.

      Having said that, it wasn’t clear to me in the UI that switching to transcript mode and clicking that item would copy the transcript, since the context menu looks identical regardless of mode. I copied a summary once, assumed that menu could only copy the summary, and never tried again after switching modes.

      Since that menu icon is on the top bar of the window and the Summary/Transcript switch is further down inside the window, intuitivlet I read that menu as global and would not expect it to change according to something that happens further inside the window.

      I would suggest, if I useful:

      1. Quick partial fix: Relabel the actions “Copy transcript” / “Copy summary” for clarity.

      2. Bigger fix: there's a lot of unused space in the right column, plus there are already existing "Regenerate transcript" / "Regenerate summary" sections. Those could become dedicated "Transcript options" and "Summary options" panels, including more visible copy/export actions, leaving the three-dot menu for genuinely global actions only.
