Hands free mode(?) / Accessibility issue with sites like Google Docs

Hi! i've been trying to use the software as an alternative to Wispr. I noticed when I'm using hands free mode, haven't tested it out with the other modes because of physical disability - when I tap the hotkey to have it start transcribing it will stop registering me as on a Google doc for example. The blinking typing indicator will freeze essentially. Like, I will have to re click on the google doc to have it be aware to actually send the transcribed material onto it. If I don't, nothing will be typed and I'll have to redo everything. I'm using this with foot pedals as an accessibility aid because I can't type well due to issues with my wrists so having to click to coordinate where my words are sent is a bit of an issue!

    Hey @Throwaway5325 , we have some fixes coming up for the hands-free mode by tomorrow, we’ll figure out what the issue could be and add a fix for this. Could you help us with the OS you are running the app on (Windows / macOS), and we can take a closer look at this. Also can you tell us the shortcut key you have configured for hands free mode as well? I’m guessing that the shortcut key is stealing the focus from the main app, which is why the cursor could go away. Thanks!

      Thank you for such a quick reply! It makes me incredibly happy to see a program like this to be developed by people like you guys. Its incredible work and I'll be sure to recommend this to everybody I know that would need something like it.

      I'm running the app on Windows 11! I have my F keys toggled off because I never use them, so I'm using the F7 key until I can get a proper macro key setup. I can totally try it with other keys though - I resorted to toggling the F keys off because I can't press multiple keys at once. Let me know if you would like any more insight! I can try and record it if necessary, I just don't have any screen recording software on hand at the moment

        I can suggest trying out a different shortcut key. The F7 key on Windows for browsers is mapped to an existing functionality called “Caret browsing” which is what’s taking away the focus. I found these two articles for Edge & Google Chrome which mention that the F7 key is used for this purpose:

        I tried it on a Windows machine just now, and I was facing the same issue. With a different shortcut, I was able to get it to work. Let me know if it works with a different key.

          Thank you so much, and sorry for the late response! I just tried what you suggested and everything seems to be working smoothly, thank you! It appears I might have gotten unlucky and picked the completely wrong key for the job haha.
