Ah I see, the mic should be saved, but when opening the settings page, it’s getting reset I believe. Once you’ve updated the microphone, is the audio picked up from the microphone before it’s reset?

We’re working on making parakeet transcription faster. But it should just be the first sentence that takes longer to load right? We’re working on optimizing this. Can you confirm this?
As for issue with update without VPN, we will try to setup a mirror link, so that when update fails to download from the primary source, it will try an alternative link from other source. Thanks

Can you tell what was the error message you were seeing? We’re hosting our updates on Cloudflare, maybe that’s why it’s getting blocked in Turkiye, we’ll consider hosting it on S3
Parakeet TDT 0.6B should be pretty fast, at the moment, the first transcription will be slow after booting since the model needs to warm up, and after that every transcription should be really fast. We are working on prewarming it during start, so that it’s not slow. Could you confirm if after the first transcription if it’s faster or not?
