Add support for Fn key on Windows
I am curious what Shortcuts people use for dictation on Windows? I have used ctrl+shift (left side) but it interferes with other shortcuts on my PC. It’s a shame that I can’t use the “fn” key like on Wispr…

Unfortunately there is no reliable way to get this to work on Windows. This is the reason why all apps in Windows don’t allow mapping Fn key as a shortcut natively. We’ll come back to this once we’ve researched if there is any other way possible by talking to some of the develoeprs from Community. Closing for now

Hey quick update: We're not finding any luck with getting the Fn key to work. Because keyboards in Windows are done by OEMs and each manufacturer of the keyboard doesn't fire an OS level event for when Fn key is pressed, so it's not straightforward to get it working across all keyboards. We will continue looking into this issue to get it right, but I'm afraid it's going to take a while to figure this out.

Hey @Yonah Bar-Shain , we’re currently in the process of adding support for Fn for Windows. In the meantime I can suggest configuring the “Right control” button as one of the shortcuts, or any combination with the “Right” keys (Control, Alt, Shift) should work. That being said, we will add support for Fn key so that it works on all keyboard layouts on Windows. Thanks

Happy to hear about the Fn key, the problems with the Right keys is that they still interfere with other shortcuts (i.e. ctrl+shift+esc or ctrl+(shift+)tab). Furthermore, on my HP Spectre, I actually don’t have a right ctrl key. And lastly, and most importantly, I like to have my right hand free for my mouse/touchpad and use my left hand for the shortcut so the right side will be cumbersome. Thanks!

Ah I see. We’ll try to get back once we have a stable working version of the Fn key for Windows shortly.
One other suggestion I can make is, you can configure you mouse middle wheel button as one of the shortcuts. In my system, I have it configured it for hands-free mode. And I click the middle mouse wheel button when I want it to transcribe and click it again when I want it the text to be pasted.
